Creation
I wonder, when God started the creation of the planet and everything on it, if He thought “where do I start?” I mean it’s not like it was something small like creating a website. God literally carved the mountains, filled the seas, blossomed the forests, Fashioned human beings and breathed life into them. Everything from the enormous all the way down to forming your fingerprints and every tiny micro-organism. It’s fair to say, there is a lot to cover and the depth that it delves into is phenomenal. So I pose the question “where do I start?” “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Just like that he had a base to build off. Something that we are fortunate enough to already have, regardless of what we are doing in life, is a platform. We have things like Google, Canva, ChatGPT etc to help us with our earthly endeavours. However; in a nutshell, God created everything from nothing.

Before the creation of Pray and Wait, I had never built a website. I wouldn’t say that I am even tech-savvy; I just felt pulled to start, and so that’s what I did. Completely naive to the amount of work that would be required from me, no idea what I was about to step into. Ignorance is bliss, and one day my ambitions will catch up with me, I’m sure. Ignorance and ambition, both being fantastic tools when starting something new. Fast forward months of hard work, and the website is about to launch. Many hours stacking up far beyond what I anticipated for. Designing clothing, building the website, arranging a launch promotion, setting up the domains and so on. It’s truly incomparable and incomprehensible that God created the Earth and all that’s on it in six days. No platforms to work off, no templates, no AI to assist. I can’t see our Creator saying “Hey Siri, help me design the human race” or asking ChatGPT “put a long neck on a horse and colour it with random patches, and we will call it a giraffe,” albeit quite funny to imagine. God knew exactly what He wanted, where He wanted it, how He wanted it, the purpose of every individual aspect making up the different life forms, and how to get there. God didn’t just make a giraffe with a long neck to form something different, it has a purpose to reach the branches the smaller animals couldn’t. It’s truly astonishing that every creation has different traits and they all serve their own purpose. The more you think about it, the harder it gets to understand how all of this was accomplished in six days. That’s the God we are serving. That’s the God that we have rest-assured confidence in. The same God that created Earth and everything on it, all with a purpose, is the same God that died for us on the cross. The same God that wants a deep relationship with you. The same God that stands by you, picking you up when you fall short! Forever loving, always reliable, and ever faithful. When God created you, He created you with purpose. You were created to love and to serve. Men, you were created to have authority, to protect, to work hard. Women, you were created to help men realise they aren’t that clever, to guide him. You were created to bare the fruit of life. We were created to work together in life and together we were all created to serve and love one another.
“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?”

At this moment in time, as I am writing this blog, Pray and Wait is in incognito mode, so you wouldn’t have been able to see it. BUT by now, the site has officially launched! Which is extremely nerve-wracking yet even more exciting. The launch of the website signals the creation of something bigger than I had initially set out to achieve six months ago when I had the passing idea of making a few t-shirts. It’s the creation of the Pray and Wait community, and what a community to be part of! We are praying that the creation of the site will have contributed to the start of your journey to Christ, and if you are already walking in faith, we pray that it would be a go-to place for help, support, community, and prayer. The Team at Pray and Wait would like to welcome you to our new, young but growing extremely fast community and would like to express our appreciation for you being here from the start. Let’s pray.
Father,
We come to you today fully surrendered, fully submitted to you. We come to you filled with awe and inspiration that you are the ultimate creator. As we look around at what you have created for us here on Earth, it’s hard to comprehend, not only that you created everything but you did it all in six days. Thankfully, you didn’t design us to understand how you did it but to understand that you are God and all things are possible through you. Nothing is too big for you, our heavenly Father, and we are truly blessed to be able to have a relationship with you. We thank you that in your creation of the Earth, you accounted for our every need in food, water, and medicines, etc. Lord, we pray for the reader today. We pray for inspiration, motivation, and creativity. Father, be with our reader as he/she prays this prayer. May your presence fill them with the love you provide to us. We thank you for our growing community, Father.
